Foyle Learning Community

Foyle Learning Community (FLC) is made up of the 15 post primary providers in the Derry City Council area and North West Regional College.

It is one of 30 Learning Communities across NI and like all 30 Learning Communities it is a partnership of schools who are working collaboratively to increase  and develop curricular provision with a view to creating the Entitlement Framework in the Derry City Council area.

There are already more than 1300 pupils across the FLC involved in collaborative arrangements at present. Many of these attend NWRC to avail of their expertise and provision in a wide range of vocational courses. Some attend other providers in the community to benefit from the offer of specialist A levels that schools would not usually have the expertise to provide, such as Media Production at the Verbal Arts Centre. Many other pupils attend other schools to access A-level courses not on offer in their own school.
